  • Joe, what we meant is that only registered boats are counted and that scenarios exist where even a registered boat won’t be counted if it is not compliant with event rules. A non-registered boat is not compliant, so it won’t be counted.

  • so you don’t have to register to be counted ? you just have to be on your boat for the one minute hold?

  • Joe, great question! An unregistered boat is no different than a qualified boat who does not follow the event guidelines (e.g., no one aboard during the minute hold). This scenario was discussed and approved by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS.

  • mile 004,,,,,so that means that you could have 3 registered boats in line and then 2 unregistered boats and then 3 registered boats and so on,,,,,,and it would not affect the count,,,,,???
it seems to me that you could not interrupt the registered boats from one continuous line by inserting an unregistered boat between them
